Great tips for snow painting. I waited for snow all winter after unexpectedly ending up in New Jersey all winter instead of my Florida home. There was no snow this year but I gathered some tips from other snow painters. One of them suggested standing on sticks rather than the ground. Other suggestions were to acclimate yourself to the cold with daily walks in the cold, put socks on your hands with a little opening cut into them, layer in wool rather than cotton or synthetics, and use kerosene for your medium. I'm not sure about the wisdom of that last one. I love the suggestion about the dark blanket! Snow is beautiful but the brightness is painful.
