Why use anything but blocks of watercolor paper? No taping; no clips. And, if you are frustrated by those tiny 14 and 15ml tubes that dominate the market, try 20ml tubes of Maimeri (from Blick) and T7, the artists' grade, from Pebeo (not available in the US but can be ordered inexpensively from the Skipton Art Shop in the UK).
