I so deeply appreciate your insights into painting in all aspects of weather and comfort, but have never read anything about how you find subject matter. Do you need prior approvals before setting up? In NJ it seems we always have to get approvals first. I once thought of painting an old barn in our town when a police car pulled up to tell me it was private property. Here, it's always recommended you paint in groups for protection and need approvals to be in a given spot. Obviously, this dampens the thought of just stopping to catch the moment when you see it. Am I expecting too much?
